PK Movie Total Box Office Collections

PK Becomes Highest Grosser Of All Time In 15 Days

2014 proved to be a bad year at box office for Hindi film industry and after disastrous November and half of December, Aamir Khan starrer 'PK' was the only hope for survival for exhibitors. But film scored big week and yesterday film became highest grosser in history of Bollywood.

Film has collected 182.58 cr nett in week one which was outstanding number and this is 2nd highest week one number after 'Dhoom 3'. Film scored big numbers in Mumbai and that is why despite low Friday film managed to cross all other releases. 

Film had humongous record breaking 2nd week as film collected 95.50 cr nett plus which is just 50% drop after such big week one. This 2nd week total record will be toughest to beat in years to come. Film has broken lifetime territory records too in Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab, CP, CI and Mysore. 

Film held strongly on 3rd Friday as film retained close to 2800 screens. Film collected close to 6.69 crnett with total of 285 cr nett plus and thus film became highest grosser ever in history of Bollywood surpassing 'Dhoom 3' in 15 days straight. Film will collect 24-25 cr nett over 2nd weekend and it will cross unbelievable 300 cr nett by end of Sunday.

Film will finish with 320-325 cr nett lifetime business and this record should be there for few years like last Hirani''s film '3 Idiots'. Rajkumar Hirani has proved again that content is king. Even with average music, simple marketing and ordinary promos, a film can win classes, masses critics and box office. Power to good cinema!

Film also collected 130 cr in 14 days in overseas and it seems that film will cross 145 - 150 cr there too by the end of run as film will get boost from new year holidays.

PK Beats Dhoom 3′s Collections Becomes Highest Grosser Of All Time In Bollywood Cinema

PK after having an excellent Thursday which was a holiday thanks to the new year saw a huge jump. The film on its 3rd Friday saw a decent drop. The film collected 7 crores on Friday. The film now stands with a total collection of 284.80 crores at the domestic box office.

Aamir Khan has now beaten his own record as PK has surpassed the collections of Dhoom 3 which stood at 280 crores at the India box office. With this, Rajkumar Hirani’s PK has become the highest grosser of all time. PK has raced forward and looking at the current position, it seems the film will soon be reaching the massive number of 300 crores at the domestic box office.

If trade analysts are to be believed, PK, directed by Rajkumar Hirani,  looks all set to make Rs 300 crore by the end of third week. In the meantime, the saffron brigade continues to wage its war against the film, with VHP and Bajrang Dal supporters picketing outside cinema halls across the nation claiming PK hurt their religious sentiments.

On the other hand, PK has been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Featuring Aamir Khan as an alien, the film takes a hard-hitting swipe at organised religion, god and godmen. It also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt in supporting roles.
Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, PK released on 19th December and since then, it has been soaring high at the box office.
It is doing phenomenally well in the international market too.

PK | Aamir Khan | Movie Box Office Collection

New Delhi: The busy weekdays doesn’t seem to have much effect on the box office collection of PK which is now in its second week. Going by its Monday earnings, the movie clearly stands to be a winner.  The Aamir Khan starrer has made yet another impressive Rs 11 cr net to take its eleven days collection to an earth-shattering Rs 247.50 cr.

This is the biggest eleven days total and looking at other top blockbusters of Bollywood of all time, Dhoom 3 (Rs 234.66 cr), Krrish 3 (Rs 211.60 cr), Kick (Rs 203.93 cr), Chennai Express (Rs 186.03 cr) and Happy New Year (183.30 cr) follow PK in the list.

As predicted earlier, the movie which didn’t have any big records in its name, surrounded the box office like a serpent and captured it with numerous records.

Biggest Christmas Day: The X-Mas holiday spilled magic for PK on Thursday. Extended queues outside the theatres and multiplexes were seen everywhere and as a result by the end of the day the movie made mind-boggling collection of Rs 29.46 cr. This is the highest Christmas Day total ever recorded. Earlier it was Aamir Khan’s very own Dhoom 3 which made Rs 23.75 cr on the same day.
Biggest second weekend collection: PK might have marginally failed to break Dhoom 3’s one week total of 185.50 cr but it made sure that comparatively its second weekend may go better. The positive reviews and word of mouth played the trick and the movie made brilliant collection of Rs 54.11 cr in its second weekend beating Dhoom 3 by huge difference of Rs 12.61 cr.





Biggest Grosser of the year: With just ten days total of Rs 236.50 cr, PK ruled over the charts of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Till here, Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ was at the top with its lifetime collection of Rs 233 cr nett in India.
Now the other record which PK is eyeing on is Dhoom 3’s lifetime collection of Rs 280.25 cr while it’s also ready to hit the triple ton thereafter which no other flick has ever did.
